Default Rebacking N172's

Posted By: Adam J. Baxter

I generally try to avoid buying or bidding on skinned N172's if I can, however, I recently was fortunate to pick a couple Brown's Champions portriats (Bushong + Hudson) that are unfortunately skinned. They are both quite fragile and I really would rather reback these to avoid damaging them further. I have a fw questions for the board as to how to go about this task:

1. What type of cardboard stock/mount to use? Backs from Goodwin actress cards? These two would have to be mounted to the cardboard, as they are both trimmed as well.

2. What type of glue to use, specifically?

3. How to perform the rebacking? (step by step if possible)

4. If in the end I lack the guts to do it myself, is there anyone in the hobby who provides a rebacking service for N172's? If so, how can I contact them and what would the cost be approximately?

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Adam
