Default ebay question - other sites

If you list a card on ebay is it grounds for them to terminate the listing if they find (or it is reported) the same card is for sale on another web site like Naxcom or something like it?

Default ebay question - other sites

I don't believe so, I recently made an offer on a 49' Bowman Musial that was listed on SportsCardLink, was turned down, and then saw the same card for sale on ebay. The card did not sell.

Default ebay question - other sites

Is it only me that sees a difference between listing an item for sale in different newspapers simultaneously, and offering it for auction in different venues at the same time?

Default ebay question - other sites

Posted By: Eric Brehm

I'm not sure if I understand the question, but I know there are many baseball card dealers who list cards on eBay (usually with a fixed BIN price) that are also available through their web sites. For example 707 Sportscards, Legacy Sports Rarities, Kirk Wagonlander, Steve Novella, BMW Sportscards. When a card sells on eBay they remove it from their web site listing, and vice versa. I believe eBay does restrict their ability to advertise their web site inventory on eBay; I think they can provide a link to it on their 'Me' Page and that's about it. Also some of them use their web site URL as their eBay userID.

The thing is a person I know lists cards for sale on his web site; and they he puts them up on ebay during the special listing days only to have ebay remove them. It seems that ebay once claimed that the card was available through another site - now mind you I believe someone that does not like this person is eager to point it out to ebay with a complaint. Which "bites" in my opinion but there is little he can do about it. (sorry I'm not about to name parties involved).
