Default Pirate cigarettes

Hi I'm trying to gather some info.
I picked up some pirate cigarette cards of Chinese or Japanese people
W.D. & H.O.Wills Bristol & London
I'm wondering if anybody knows how many are in the set and if they have any value
Any help is greatly appreciated and if this is in the wrong spot feel free to move to the appropriate spot

The characters are Chinese. The packs were sold in China in the early teens, I believe. I don't think they have great value, but some other members (Peter U. among others) own a few, so I'm sure they have a better idea of their value.

Default Pirates

I am stealing this page from the 2009 Murray's Cigarette Card Value guide (UK company).

It looks like there are several sets of Pirates. The column on the right is the full set value and to the left of that column is the value for individual cards. The column on the far left denotes the number of cards in the set.

Neat info. Obviously the baseball players price is way off ... these typically sell for $5k+ (even back in '09).

Here is the 1994 page from the Murray's Guide. The large inflation in price (1994 - 2009) for the baseball series is no surprise. It is interesting that in 1994 Murray's estimate for the total number in the set was ?100, and in 2009 it was estimated as ?95.

I have 2 or 3 of the Pirate backs on Chinese cards that I have no understanding of at all. Not valuable. You can often find one for a couple of bucks.

Default Pirate

Have about a dozen from a trade with fellow Net54 member about 2 years ago. 3 different variations on the back. Value not much from what I gather.
Mine is from the Chinese costumes series.

Default Murray's

I didn't know what the P and the G meant but I found the info in the front of the book.

The G means they are cabinet size, and the P means they are Postcard size.
