Default Mickey, Willie and a mysterious letter

The Mickey looks like crap. no letter is shown, and MY GOODNESS, the Say Hey Kid musta been under a spell. WT blue Heaven is that mess?

This Mantle actually is okay, and it's definitely his inscription. The mays looks odd but then again they say in the listing that his is traced over so it could have been obliterated and when they tried to retrace it, it came out bad.

well. I haven't seen that type of Mantle before. Looks a bit like the banana ones. but I'll defer to you guys.

Far as Mays, no way someone can mess up a retrace that bad

Another case of these balls where other signatures and/or personalizations are airbrushed over. Regrettably seems to be a growing trend. Who would pay a premium for a ball that has been painted over?

And what happens when the ball begins to tone further and the paint stays the same color?
