Default Has the Sport Kings Jim Thorpe Been Reprinted?

Posted By: davidcycleback

I don't mean home computer reprint, but professionally like Larry Frisch reprints.

If you don't know, but haven't seen one-- that's a useful example too.

I have an email question about the card, and want to be able to tell him if the cards were formally reprinted.

Thank you

I'm almost certain that the whole Sport Kings set has been reprinted. A local consignment auction was auctioning one or two of these cards off per week and every single one of them had the coffee/tea smell and obvious signs of faux aging. I finally got the auctioneer to start selling the cards as "Reprints". The consigner claims that he bought the whole set off of ebay, but I don't know if I believe him.

theres a seller on ebay jonesfan10 who auctions off some reprinted Goudey's as originals - sport kings and otherwise every week or two. He's got some up there today (he did this morning when I notified leon; I don't know if they're still there) on a one day auciton.

I sent the link to my contact but would also like to say that folks really need to utilize the ebay process when possible. I will do what I can but I am not ebay...Please go to ebay first to get help....Maybe I will be employed by them in the future but for now I wear a hat or two too many already.....And I will say it again...I hate these friggin scam artists....and this seller (Jones...) is a scammer imo...
