Super excited to add this one...thanks Stephen! Crease free with some print defects/WST on front and back that are original to the card. Looks EXMT otherwise

That Lou Gehrig is such a beautiful card. The big full-body player photos superimposed on mini stadium scenes give the players a larger-than-life appearance that pretty much all of us would suscribe to.

To have THE key card from such an awesome set is a huge feat. And of course.so much of the set is a Hall of Fame roll call.

This has got to be the ugliest card I have ever actually paid money for. Besides that, I can't read Spanish!

Rudy York is one of those really good players who has very few cards to his name. 1946 Los Reyes Del Deporte:

I was thinking I likely won't be posting any new P/U's this month, but when I seen this card, which had been alluding me, and seeing it was from a great seller, I had to at least try.
My main competition was a guy who had 11 retractions in the last 6 months so I wasn't sure how this was going to play out, but luckily for, my snipe bid held out and I was able to win it.

Nice '58 Mantle. Picked this up at the RMU Card Show, Frank was actually signing at this show.

Nice pick up Irv, I am in the same boat as you this month.....I was not expecting to pick up anything this month, however, I was not expecting to find this card as a 6 .... will have to deal with the tilt, but is it is better than a MC card.

Down to just one to go to finish the 1-311 run....#3 Thompson

Good for you!

I have been laying off purchasing lately due to the CDN dollar weakness. It just got to the point where I had to draw the line somewhere.

Hopefully, and I'm not holding my breath, it rebounds some soon!

I added these two for my set. I'm happy. Centering on the Kaline for a 7 is tough to find and the lack of snow on the Larsen gives me a card-on.

Thanks. Obviously not a perfect specimen but my goals, within my pretty paltry budget, were to avoid some of the really bad centering and "off" die cuts you often see on this card. I just have to hope I don't ruin it when I take it out of the holder to add to my display.

Jason, I honestly feel that is one of Henry's most visually-appealing cards. Just perfect, all the way around. For what's it's worth, Topps did Mr. Aaron proud with its recreation of the '64 Stand-Ups in 2011.

Must you really extract Henry from the holder for your display? There are card stands. I would think you'd like the holder and the added protection, but what do I know about your lovingly crafted display. I'm sure you've thought it through about what you want to do. Hope it works out the way you envision.

Again, swell Aaron.

This particular display only holds top loaders. Plus it would have been the only (still) graded card in my entire collection!

Reasoning understood, Jason. Thanks for kindly taken the trouble to respond, as well as, moreover, to allow me the privilege to glimpse your beautiful collection of Hammering Hank.

Just a memory, but I was in the Wrigley Field bleachers when The Hammer blasted yet another home run off Cub pitchers, this time with the result of breaking the National League career record for most runs batted in. There's no point mincing words-----Hank wore the Cubs out! When he was traded or whatever, to the Milwaukee Brewers, I breathed a sigh of relief. Unfortunately, Dave Concepcion and Mike Schmidt took over!!!!!!!!!

Here's a wish you get 3 more Henry Aaron beauties before the end of the year! Take care, my fellow collecting warrior. ---Brian Powell
