Default starting a '38 goudey or '39 PB set...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm a complete pre '90 postwar noob and admittedly have been on this side about 3 times the past year. (originally posted this thread in the football section also...bleh)

i would like to put together a couple '30s or a 54 bowman set mainly from watching keith olbermann talking sportscards in the early 90's. my goal right now is the '38 goudey and '39 playball and just wondering a price range for a VG set of both? i have VCP and can get individual prices if need be but i would think buying a big lot or group would garner a little discount.

i chose VG because with prewar cards the big jump $$$-wise occur between VG and anything above that these days. if that's not the case for postwar i would not mind a nice EX set and just leave the dimaggios/williams/big money cards at VG.

thanks ahead for any suggestion(s).

Hey Quan

If you are interested I have a few 38' Goudey's that I can sell you for a good price. I think they are PSA 4's. Email me when you can.

Jeff
