Default OT: National Show / Sportkings Presidential Cuts

Posted By: Brian T.

The best I can tell, this is the best place to pose such an inquiry. As we are aware, Sportkings returned to the hobby this past year after their long hiatus. I am normally not one to chase modern insert sets as I am becoming more and more addicted to collecting vintage; however, Series A has an insert set called Presidential Sportkings that caught my attention. It is a set of 14 one-of-one cards with pictures of various presidents engaged in some sporting activity (golf, football, baseball, bowling, etc.) along with a signature cut. I heard that the Kennedy was pulled at the National Show and wondered if anybody here heard anything about it or knows where it ended up. In addition to the Kennedy, I am also looking for the LBJ, FDR, Hoover, and Ford. Anybody have any information on any of these cards? Thanks for your help!

It's still pretty modern for this forum. It's pre '80 here, and for the most part pre '60 or so. You might try the Beckett board.
