Default Help finding Bat

Sitting around talking with my girlfriend's family, her dad mentioned he had an uncle, Carl Geist, that played for some teams in the Nebraska State League. He also said that at some point he played in the "St. Louis Farm System" but didn't mention if it was for the Browns or Cardinals. All I can find online is that he played from 1929-1934. He said Louisville slugger made a bat with his name on it, but he was never able to track one down. I know he isn't a major leaguer, but if he had a bat with his name stamped on it, I figure there has to be one or two floating around out there somewhere. Maybe Dan, considering you are a Nebraska collector, might know something. I've also seen people mention picking up minor league bats here and there. If any of you have a Carl Geist bat, please let me know! I would love to see a pic or maybe even buy it!

Thanks

Mitch

I think the Beatrice Blues had a loose working agreement with the Cardinals for a time. You might want to check with the Louisville Slugger museum, if he indeed had a contract bat from them, they used to offer a program where if you were a relative you can order a replica made to his spec's in their records.

Do you know if it was a signature model or a block lettered last name? Either way, I would guess it would be pretty difficult to find one.
