Default Do you hunt on your own property?

I have Deer, Black Bear, Turkey, Quail, Rabbit, and Dove. They seem to become none existent when the season opens, except for the dove.

My backyard is the size of most peoples kitchen. I wish I had game to hunt around here. I have had to drive about 2 hours to hunt until this year, where I found a guy that has a 220 acre farm with about 50 acres of woods about 40 minutes away. He lets me set up a couple tree stands, a couple ground blinds, and as many trail cameras as I can afford. He isn't charging me a penny which is really rare.

Where are you located?

Do have deer that come through, and a neighbor caught a video on his trail cam. I live on the water, with one acre, so many geese and ducks out there. The duck hunters wake us up every morning this time of year.
So I do not hunt on my property, fish from the dock, or out in the boat is about it.

No, but the hawks do. LOL If I could only get them to focus on the squirrels, chipmunks, and moles and leave the birds alone, that would be great.

Don't usually think of Greenville as having black bear, but I imagine just east of Greenville is a good area for them.

We lived out in the country from the late 90's to the mid 00's and I done a ton of hunting. Had pheasant, deer, partridge, rabbits, squirrel, doves and a few more. Also had The raccoons, opossum, skunk, coyotes, a weasel and other problem animals.

My best wildlife experience had to be the year we had a doe deer that lived in the 100 yard by 400 yard tree strip to the west of the house. All summer the deer and my Rottweiler Samson played together and chased each other around in the tree strip. It was awesome to watch.

I live in an urban second story condo with a deck, so no. I joke that my only plant is my green welcome mat.

No worries about hunting & guns. I sit on my front porch and have 'protected' deer 10 ft away from the front door. I have Deer everyday morning & night.
One year I had a bunch of turkeys. Nobody believed me. So I had some corn and out come 20 turkeys and shot a picture as proof.
btw--- I don't hunt.
