Default Help identifying 1920s Giants, one other photo

Hello. Anyone recognize these players? These came from a newspaper collection in Western Mass. There were some shots of Boston Braves spring training. Is the action shot guy a Brave perhaps? Obviously, the other guys are Giants. Both photos date to the 1920s, probably around 1926-1928. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Rob

The technique I normally use to i.d. non-famous players, is to go over the rosters in MLB Ref for the years in question (1926,1927,1928), and for teams this recent there should be a pic at the upper left for each player.

For minor league rosters, the guys with ML experience will be bolded, so you can left-click on them and normally get a pic as well.

Giant on the right looks to be Andy Cohen. I think the catcher is Shanty Hogan. Cohen and Hogan were Giants teammates in '28 and '29. Employing Runscott's method I can't get any of the BBRef.com roster pikkies to match the player at the left, although with a mug like that someone should be able to ID him. If that is indeed the 5'8" Cohen our guy would be of a similar height.

Thanks, guys. The help is much appreciated.
Good tip, Scott. I'm usually pretty decent and tracking stuff down online --always having to research stuff I find at estate sales and such. But I didn't have a lot of luck with this one.
Thanks again.
Rob
