Default 38 Goudey and paper separation

Posted By: David G

I have been working on the 38 Goudey set and lately have noticed a common problem. Many of the cards (acquired from various sources) have the back of the card "peeling off". The separation is a very thin layer. Can anyone tell me why? Is this a known problem with this issue? Does this mean the cards where likely soaked somewhere along the way?

David:

Interesting. I've collected '38 Goudeys for several years and have handled a lot of these cards, and have never seen this. Can you show us a scan of what you're referring to?

I'm a collector of this set too and just to concur, I haven't noticed this either with any Heads Up cards I've dealt with.
