It is a die cut piece, I have removed the piece from the frame and have ordered the frame parts. Once the pieces for the frame gets in, I will show the final product (the frame shop had to order the matting etc.). It will be a black frame with red matting.

Default Fenway Related Sign

I believe I posted this previously but here it is again...This riding school was across from Fenway Park…I picked it up because Harvard played the Red Sox in the first ever game at Fenway in 1912…The locker rooms weren’t completed and Harvard had to change at this school for the game…

Default Nolan Ryan 1984 Gulfpride Oil Rebate Promo POP Display

Here is a great local pickup that I'm very excited about.
This is a really tough Nolan Ryan Gulfpride Oil rebate promo POP display from 1984.
I've had the tear-off rebate coupons for years, but have never had the opportunity to add the actual advertising POP display until now.
It only took 39 years to locate one. Go figure...

Welcome aboard!

Very large piece (measures 27" X 21") circa 1890's lithograph Nelson Morris & Co. original advertisement - Pigs Playing Baseball.

There is a lot going on in the background of this image. Pigs in tree's, pigs in windows, pigs on top of buildings, pigs peeking through the outfield wall. All just to catch a glimpse of the game. Love it!

With its original matching card sharing the same image.

Love that, and was watching it closely at auction. Glad you snagged it! I really love the graphics, and how the "First Base Pig" is reaching for a can of lard instead of a baseball. Awesome piece of early baseball artwork!

Default Vintage Grain Belt Beer Advertisement

I thought this was a cool item. I have never seen another. Thinking that the item would sell for more than I wanted to pay (it did), I did not bid on the item. Also, at over 4 feet long and 22 inches wide, the piece would be a major space eater. Congratulations to the buyer!

Default Billy Martin Ham Salesman?

I just received the piece below. Early 1970's advertising sign for Billy Martin's Hams. The story goes, the dealer had gotten the sign out of a bar in Detroit that had been selling the hams. Initially, I thought the sign was a fantasy piece because I did not know Billy Martin was a spokesperson for ham. More porky! Less fatty! The item came with a Billy Martin's Ham pamphlet (with two recipes) and this Ebay seller has a print ad for sale (https://www.ebay.com/itm/185836110639). So, Billy actually pitched hams. The sign is likely one of a kind, because the picture of Billy and the ham were enlarged and glued (??) to the medium the lettering is professionally done. Either way, I really like it!

Scott,

Thanks! I first saw the sign/picture (??) back in April. The seller requested local pick-up only. I inquired about shipping and the seller said he would check on shipping costs. Last week, I reached out again to see if he had looked into the cost of shipping. Apparently, FEDEX has an art box. A deal was struck and I now own the piece! It is an oddball piece!

Thanks Scott.. My mistake in op I said 77 but looking at the Ryan can with the text in the baseball makes me say 1978. All the cans on the shelves behind the kids have the square twxt box and are from 1977. RC did not have the marketing budget of Coke or Pepsi so posters and displays were scarce.

Billy Martin sign is great, as is the Blatz. As a child of the Midwest, I always thought “Blatz” sounded like a good approximation of puking.
