Back from the technologically dead. I had to replace my ten year old computer and put in a new scanner to boot. I just want to thank Mike, Lauri and Mike for the cards. I also visited another flea market and an antique store. The first picture I know is off topic, but it is of a pre-War player (good one too) and I have to admit I chose to post here instead of the memorabilia section. The second picture is of Thomas d'Alesandro (who?!), the mayor of Baltimore when MLB was deciding where to move a pre-WWII franchise in the St. Louis Browns. Peeping Toms and politicians .

Orioles1954,

Thank You for the information. I also found in researching d'Alesandro that his son, Thomas L. J. D'Alesandro III, was also mayor of Baltimore from 1967-1971, but I'm digressing from the topic. I will have to be down again from posting scans because the transfer of files on my computer did not get all of my scans, so back to the shop it goes.
