Default Oversized Poster Sized Pre-War Reproductions On Ebay

Posted By: DJ

Stumbling across eBay today, I found a seller who has hundreds of oversized (in some instances 30X50) baseball card reproductions, back and front of pre-war trading cards.

Has anyone ever purchased any and would you recommend a purchase?

I know how we all like to share our favorite cards and this is a neat way to show off our 'true favorite' in framed form in the TV room.

I haven't bought any off of Ebay. However, I'm supposed to be getting an OJ Cap Anson 8 1/2 X 11 litho from another board member.

They are pretty cool and usually affordable.

Pete Browning N173 cabinet picture from them and I was very satisfied. It's on decent, non-glossy paper but the quality of the .jpg when blown up was still pretty good.........

High resolution tiff files can be downloaded for free from the American Memories Library of Congress web site

http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/bbhtml/bbhome.html

You can print off your own posters (editing them with a photo editing program to improve the quality, if you wish) or copy the file and get it printed off somewhere like Kinkos in the size you wish.

Thanks Max. That's an awesome site. I'm loving all the different old negatives that they have on record. I only wish I had broadband and a better printer!!

I was disappointed that there were no Kellys--at all.

(card I got a photo of--it'll look nice next to my traditional Chinese painting--same colors...)
