Perhaps its just a generic phrase used in this series and not used for a specific pitcher.
The next card might state "The batter stinks" and so on.
Not sure, but that's what I think.

I agree with Jay. No specific pitcher is being cited. It's just a humorous quip.

I agree with humorous quip. Gibson did this and others about baseball but was best known for the Gibson Girls
