Default t206 prices at Memory Lane--your thoughts

Always curious what people think after a big auction when prices seem to spike on one issue or another.....Certain PSA 6s seem to be greatly value, including uptick in SLs....and what I consider a trend for premiums on nicely centered cards also continues.... but what do I know?

The Wagner sold for 54.5k less than it did 5 years ago. Maybe people are looking at the card and not the flip, or centering is becoming on issue for increasing or decreasing prices.

Good call. Some of the mid-tier to rare backs did ok and some did great. Not sure who the big bidders are but its been a couple of years since these backs have been moving in this direction. The centered cards regardless of grade should always carry a premium in my opinion.

My quick impression were the magiewent high! The Cobbs seem priced appropriately. I just quickly scanned the auction and a lot of cards look suspect in grading to me.

Very bullish market for T206s, especially nice one. Buy and hold rating.

Pete, I didn't think the price on the Magie was out of line. There are 129 Magie's in the PSA and SGC pop reports (although I'm sure there are several crossovers and re-subs) with
only four 5's and three higher (one each at 6,7 and 8). The last 5 on VCP that sold was an SGC three years ago for $31,460 and the ML (On the left) is a much stronger 5 in my opinion.

I agree on the SL's. Maybe high grades don't show up in auctions to often? Someone must have been using the "Top All Bid" feature. I would bid and would get outbid exactly 5 min later each time so I gave up. Someone wanted them more than I did that's for sure. Except for one PSA card that went for cheap. Looked doctored to me.

Neither looks like a 5, what does a PSA 4 sell for?

My bad. The PSA 5 Howard just had a really bad corner. It went for cheap. I forgot which card I was looking at. But almost looked like there white out on two of the corners. Could have been a bad photo. Didn't mean to accuse PSA

Default Signed T206 Crawford Batting

Found myself bidding uncontrollably on this one. Now I have to purge 20% of my unsigned collection to pay for it!

^^ cool card!

Maybe I underestimated the power of Brown Hindu, but I thought the WaJo PSA 2 portrait had a strong showing at just over $6K. Card was nice for the grade, though, and was downgraded due to back stain.

Awesome card! I thought seriously about bidding but knew where it was going so backed off. Will look good in your collection. Congrats!

Very strong HOF t206 PSA 6 prices continuing tonight at PWCC, even for the level of Bresnahan and Griffith.

Thanks! It's a dupe for me, so not sure why I felt so compelled to bid up, up, up. Fairly irrational behavior on my part. Thanks to the Net54 community for buying tons of cards from me today to help bail me out of my irresponsible behavior!

Rare backs were soaring last night. Hindu, Lenox, the Cobb Uzit, the Speaker Drum, etc. Seriously strong prices.
