Birmingham Auctioneers is looking for... everything!

We are looking for consignments for our Parsippany, NJ auction at Joe Drelich's Parsippany PAL Tuesday Night Show as well as buyers!

Since it is a new auction, as a way to entice consignors, we introduced a flat fee of $6 per item instead of a percentage It doesn't matter WHAT your item sells for you only pay $6. But wait!

For Net54 members we will cut that in HALF. Not sure how long we will run that special, but it will be determined by when we take the item on consignment, NOT when the item runs. So if you give us something now for let's say our September sale, even if the offer ends in August, you receive the $3 rate.

Why consign with us? We have over 30 years live auction experience. We have an ever growing LOCAL email and mailing list, we also support our auction with paid advertising including targeted facebook ads which reach thousands of people interested in sports cards within driving distance of Parsippany each month and get hundreds of click-throughs. We also use auctionzip to promote our sales.

Also, while there are plenty of great options for your 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards, what do you do with your VG 1965 Topps Mantle or your T206 Jake Beckley in FAIR condition? We have tons of buyers for that type of material as well as lower priced pre-war material. The highlight of our first auction in May was the Tobacco and Caramel cards.

We also run a long-standing live-only auction in Palmyra, PA (outside of Hershey) and a number of members here at Net54 are regulars. There we definitely do sell some higher priced material and space is harder to come by as we have regular consignors to that auction.

Please, if you have any thoughts, comments or questions don't hesitate to post in this thread. I think many of you know me by now and I am an open book. We hope to see you at the auction June 6th! Preview begins at 5:30pm, auction starts at 7pm, and should take about an hour.

So if you are in the area and like bargains you really missed out on a great opportunity in June. The t206 Willis in PSA 2 went for $30. The tobacco commons went between $7.50 and $15 apiece. Make sure you get your share of the spoils in July's auction!

On vacation in the Outer Banks. Was it at the Host again, or back at the Mennonite school?

Thanks! About a half-sized auction today due to the holiday, but there is some nice stuff, AND there's a 5% discount to the Buyer's premium today only. 13% with another 3% discount for cash!

Hey, ugly cards need love too!

Want to thank Wayne, Tom, and Robert and any other net54 members who made today's auction a success. The day after a holiday and only our 3rd auction at this venue and I think we're moving in the right direction! Thanks Leon too for your support!

That's a really nicely centered Banks, but are you sure? My outrageous $6 commission will take a pretty big bite...

I actually saw this auction advertised elsewhere online the other day and was very interested in a few of the items but everything I was reading is that there is no online bidding correct? You either have to be present or possibly absentee. Does that sound right or did I get that wrong?

You are correct. As an auction to help promote a card show it doesn't do it's job if we allow any form of bidding to people not present, sorry. You are more than welcome to contact members (we have several who attend), even in my threads and place bids through them if they are willing, but someone has to be present to bid.
