Default September Pick Up Thread

It's a day early, but I figured I'd kick the September thread off with this:

Thanks! I had a SGC 30, PSA 4, and PSA 3 prior and this one has the best color and centering of the four so I feel like I got pretty lucky given the grade. I ended up having to sell the other three for various reasons, but the '52 Topps Mantle has always been my "holy grail" card so I hope I can hold on to it. I hope you get the opportunity to own one someday, my best hobby moment was opening the box when my first one came in the mail after dreaming of owning one for 10 years!

Default 56 Mantle

Nice 52 Doug! In keeping with the Mantle spirit, I looked for quite awhile for a mid grade 56 Mantle for my set. Finally found one I liked.

This couldn't quite fit on my scanner. But the important part is smack in the middle. That's Rogers Hornsby managing the PCL Champ Seattle Rainiers.

Just back from SGC (Thanks, Andy), this is definitely one of the toughest Post-War HOF P-RC's to track down...............

All I need is Jackie's rookie (and a Hugh Casey due to the front of the card) and my 49 Bowman Bums be complete!

This is a PSA 2 ((paper loss on back). If anyone has a similar Jackie, please PM with with asking price.
