Default Joe Dimaggio war photo

my friend has a panoramic 1943 war photo of di maggio and all other men with every signature of every guy on the back. Di maggio signed, Private, Joe Di maggio san francisco, california. Wants 1800.00 dollars. Has to be one of a kind. Photo approx. 2'6"x12". worth it or not. thanks for help. I will try to get photo tomorrow.

If original and displays well, the photograph itself (without signatures) might be worth $500. Panoramas are a scarce format. One problem is the signatures don't display well on the back of the photo. Though, if everything is authentic, it would be rare and possibly unique. It's also a dual genre item-- baseball and military, both which have strong collector following.

The military made panoramas like that for the soldiers. My family has my grandfather's when he served in WWI. Shows he and the rest of the crew of a Navy destroyer, posed for the camera on the deck.

One sold on eBay not too long ago for a little over $300.
