Always love some Zappa. While I am jamming to that I will take the opportunity to enlighten anyone who wishes to be educated

I'm a Grace Slick freak. I have actually spoken to more than a few people that were back stage at Woodstock, and Altimont, and other various festivals.

For some reason this was more of a dark time for Grace and Joan Baez and some of the other females of the time (obvious with Janis) than what most people think. Not real sure why it was more dark for the girls.

At any rate .... Grace doesn't remember a single moment of these first couple songs .... even though they were first thing in the morning:

Nice one Steve.

My sister in law actually did an interview with The Doors (minus Jim, it was after his death) & I'm not positive but it may have been for Rolling Stone. I'll see if I can get her to email it to me, or direct me to it.

Here's one from the vault : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD5DbKdx0AE

The song is F*n awesome. The interview would be nice I would LOVE to see the script.

When it comes to music I am a huge fan of the "controlled chaos" aspect.

Yes, more Dave ....... but close your eyes.... this is 2 guitars and one voice..... and a crap load of noise...... no drums, no piano, no nothing .... just 2 guys with 2 guitars and one voice.

Incredibly moving.

If ever anyone gave time to music .... this is worth it:

Wow !! That was moving, thanks for posting that one. Everything about that was great, love the slide. I have to run, but we need to continue this music extravaganza, this is great fun !!

I'll leave you with this one, it's out of the norm of what we've been posting but I just love this album and you mentioned "controlled chaos" and it made me think of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyGZv_uBxMY

Let me know what you think of this band (or song).

Until next time-

Kudos .... I like it. It kind of reminds me of some g.g. allin (i will leave that off of the boards for obvious reasons) but i have always been a fan. I had the unique experience of being WAAAAY into the underground music scene around Ft. Wayne, IN back around 1997-1999 and came across some wonderful bands. Lot's of ska back then. That is what "re-lit" my fire for music.

David Gray anyone? This is the song that my wife walked down Turtle Beach on Siesta Key Florida to .... for our wedding ceremony
11 million views ..... damn.

Well, I checked out the David Gray~ not really for me but everyone's taste's are different. That type of song can make me feel sad? That's what's wierd, that song would probably give someone a "happy" feeling

G.G. Allin~ yeah, he is disturbing. My friend went to see him back in the 80's not knowing who he was, and left the show after 10 minutes. I'll leave it at that...

Changing gears a little, I am a huge Metal fan. Not all Metal, but certain album's/groups. Here is one of my favorite Metal songs off of one of my all time favorite Metal albums: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=455-CIgc7co

Sincerely, Clayton

Speaking of women of that era, one kept on progressing.

Yeah the David Gray isn't an all day every day thing for sure. He gets old pretty quick.

Metal is really one of the genres I can't listen to all day every day as well. Just never been my thing I guess.

You do country at all?

Hi Steve-

I know, many people aren't too into metal. Same with punk, it's just music that's in my blood from my younger years But, I'm all over the map with music. I love old country, and bluegrass as well (steel slide guitars and banjos ) here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEOZ0eX538M

Default Anthrax covering Rush "Anthem"

Anthrax (IMO) did an excellent job covering one of my favorite Rush songs

"Anthem": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq-OPoNXf-Y

They also did alot of other great classic songs from the past- I just heard their cover of Thin Lizzy "Jailbreak" and that was excellent as well. Now, I'm going to check out the cover they did of AC/DC "T-N-T".

Sincerely, Clayton

Sounds similar to my art mantra - there is no good or bad art; there is only art that speaks to me and art that doesn't.
