Default The Gods do smile upon thee once in awhile

Ok maybe I've been watching too many episodes of Spartacus but had to share my joy when I cracked open a 1914 CJ Maranville SGC 2 that I thought looked under graded and after sending it to PSA got this back...

Wow, that's a huge bump. Usually crossing gets you between .5 and a whole grade. You were right about it being undergraded. Ever think about a career in grading cards??

Really nice card. I'm surprised it got a 3.5 with that missing corner though. Don't think I've seen that before.

congrats...one can make a business out of cracking and resubmitting cards based on the broad disparity of standards between the major TPG'ers...albeit a tenuous business model.

cracking SGC and regrading w/psa will minimize take aways!
