My experience is that they end about as late (or as early, if you know what I mean). Maybe a few hours earlier.

The advice for MastroNet is to go to bed on auction night, get up the next morning, eat your breakfast, walk the dog, check your bids.

I recall bidding in one Mastro auction at 7:30 AM, after I had showered, eaten breakfast, and had my morning coffee. Much better than staying up all night, and really gives you last shot if you choose.

i'll never understand why they just don't put an end time on the auctions and make people STOP AT THAT TIME. I know they want the highest price but if there was a definite end time people would put higher ceiling bids on the stuff they wanted. please explain why they (auction houses) have this rule.

Dennis - don't you think that sleep deprivation clearly leads numerous collectors to making irrational bids at 5 in the morning...? Especially when the auction house claims they've got someone else on the phone who is competing against you!
