Default Curious Backgrounds

I love seeing cards that feature photographs with odd or unusual settings. For instance, the 1973 Luis Alvarado card has been talked about 'round these parts many times before. Instead of showing a major league game, it seems the pic portrays Luis and his buddies playing a sandlot game outside of a Rite Aid parking lot…

And here's a 1968 Topps Jack Aker card I ran across today. It seems ole Jack decided to take his uniform along with him on a visit to Aunt Ida's house and had his cousin snap a couple of photos in the backyard…

I use to go to ST where the White Sox use to train and that is exactly how I remember it. Most of the 1973 White Sox cards were ST photos, I like looking at them just for the memories.

I remember my little brother pulling that Sadecki
from a pack. We laughed all the way home from
the candy store.
