1908 Newspaper League souvenir book-a little OT

I was wondering if anyone here had any information or had heard of the 1908 Newspaper League baseball tournment that took place in New York. Apparently many different newspapers had teams that represented them and they competed in a tournment. I ask this because I recently won off ebay the program or souvenir book that went along with the games. It is pretty large and in amazing condition for the age. It reminds me of an Allen and Ginters album in a way, both are shaped as a piece of baseball equiptment, both are bound albums, and in both are many pictures of baseball players. I don't know the value of an item like this but thought it was very neat and unusual. It made me think of the N333 set which shows players from the Newsboy league because apparently it goes into the history of the Newspaper leagues starting at 1857.

They did them for several years. They are really nice and high quality, some are like 50 pages, but they don't really sell for much as they picture mostly teams sponsored by New York area newspapers.
