Default early baseballs

Super early belt ball. And a wonderful early figure 8 ball with very small stitching.

Default 1971 World Series Gamer

I have been looking for one of these 1971 Pirates World Series bats forever. Although I have seen a couple of Oriole examples, this is actually the very first one belonging to a Pirate that I have ever seen. It is a U-1 model, has bat rack marks, a clear tacky substance on the handle, and a few cleat indentations otherwise the use is very light as one would expect. Pagan's double won game 7 when he drove in Stargell. I have tried to photo match the bat with video from that moment but the video is so poor it is fruitless to try. Nonetheless I am thrilled add it to my 1971 Pirates collection.

Ha, stop it! I always say, it's not the quantity, it's the quality. And you've got a good one there.

Just picked up this 1874 Harper's Weekly Philadelphia Athletics woodcut over the weekend. Officially the oldest item in my collection.
Photo I took is a little blurry, can't seem to get a good shot with the iPad

Picked up this 1929-30 Almendares team photo at the National in Cleveland. Pictured are Martin Dihigo in a fairly early image along with Dick Lundy and several other minor stars..........

Trophy Tankard - 1877 James Dixon & Sons

Out of my area of expertise on this one, but it was (silver plate I believe), nice so picked it up at the National. About 6" tall, bottom reads 'James Dixon & sons Sheffield'. Engraving reads 'Ch.Ch. Athletic Sports 1877 A.A.Orr' (best I can tell-could be 'Oh.Oh.').

Turns out to be a cup presented at Christ Church (Oxford), probably for a footrace, possibly by future British Prime Minister Lord Rosebery (Archibald Primrose). Probably presented to A.A. Orr, but possibly presented by him instead. Googled documents now attached.

Pardon my weakness in spatial relations Scott, but give me some information I can understand--about how many ounces does it hold? (nice pick up)

Hey Todd. When I say 6", like most men I probably mean a little less

I guess it holds about a pint.

Great, so it's both ornamental and functional. Well played indeed.

Nice photo.
I could be mistaken, but it looks like a Barney Stein photo.
Very similar composition to this one(not mine)

2014 Giancarlo Stanton game worn pair of pants. Pants show TONS of use, ripped on back from sliding, several team repairs. Only the second pair of pants so far this year. Probably worn for many home runs.
