Default Newly Discovered 52Topps Variation!!

I have discovered a new 1952 Topps variation.

I checked ebay and of the 52T Duke Sniders that are RED back there are two variations. Split about 50/50, (so I don't think one is less common than the other). Here are variations. Keep in mind these are both red backs.
Notice the border "break" lower left border. About half the "red back" Sniders have the identical "break" about half of the "red backs don't".

I claim the "discovery" here and now. David Pierson

Default Snider

I give you full credit David, since George did not tell me about it, and appreciate you pointing it out

But I will admit George is a great resource on variations, errors and oddities.

I would put this in the print defect grouping. I have a couple other 52 border irregularities like this one and there is a discussion of 52 variations in general in a recent thread in here
