I'm not a fan but I'm also not an expert on Cobb. Looks vastly different from mine and mine was signed around the same time period.

I dont like at all. I hate loose cuts too many forged cuts out there to even want to look at buying one. Unless you saw the Great Ty Cobb sign it in front of you I would stay away. But again thats just me I cant stand cut autographs.

I'm not liking it and wouldn't touch it for several reasons including flow , letter formation and spacing and speed of signature ( looks slow ).
Buy a Ty Cobb check because in my opinion they are the best investment for the money ( I have several and have never worried about them ).

Appreciate the opinions, my buddy has had this for awhile and just pulled it out of storage. I’m not an expert on Cobb by any means so just trying to see if it’s worth sending in to authenticate, or if it’s an obvious fake. I’ve looked at similar cuts from JSA/PSA/BGS and there’s some similarities here and there but I don’t look at him enough to have “the eye” for it, nor have any common forgeries on file.

Agreed!!! I have several Cobb checks and have never had to worry about any of them. There are also a handfull of letters out there by Cobb but they will cost a bit more.
Cobb is a fun auto to have!!!

Im leary on all autographs unless its a cancelled old bank check or something along those lines. Good Forgeries are near impossible to detect. Then you have websites like this where you can buy fake items ready mislead people. I almost bought this on eBay until running into this site. I actually messaged the seller and they pulled the listing and said thank you for pointing out.

Just hit the link for the Etsy item and shows the listing still up and that seller still has 3 left for sale... smh..

Actually if you click on the picture and go read item description seller mentions and I quote," All of my cards are antiqued to give that perfect vintage look. Every card will be shipped with a penny sleeve and top loader or in a screw down case if listed as so and shipped securely in a bubble envelope. If you spend $15 or more use coupon code HAPPYNEWYEAR2016 at checkout to receive 30% off your entire order."

No not a good seller I'm afraid - a scammer...
