Nope, his sig noticeably different by the time he was in the Hall— post accident. Maybe it’s Roy’s son Roy Campanella II (he told me he signed for his dad when he was younger).

You do understand that Roy Campanella was in an automobile accident in 1958 that left him a quadriplegic right?

Yes, I know Campy was a parapalegic after the 1957 accident and this HOF placque is many years later. I received a good amount of HOF autographs from a coworker. I agree this Campy is not him, but wife or son. He wants me to take this to JSA-Im telling him it is a waste of money. You folks helping me convince him.

My point on posting this, is to show my coworker the opinions of others before he wastes his money. I also believe it to be NOT Roy Campanella , but his wife, son, or someone else who signed this. Yes, I have shown him examples of PSA authentic, where the signature is barely legible.

Perez Steele---thanks--I forgot about that one. That would be another comparison for him to see, other than the HOF one. Thanks!!!!

Here are examples of my TPA authenticated Campanella Perez-Steele cards if you want to show them to your friend for comparison.

I dont understand the DeLorean car reference. Nor the statement J/k Hard dealing with those people.

Bluntly-what do you mean by those comments? I'm just looking for some help.

The DeLorean is a reference to the Movie, Back to The Future as it's a time machine. He's making a time traveling joke, if you wanted to get the Plaque signed by Campanella, to receive a signature that was similar to his pre-accident one.

That was signed by his wife Roxie, who routinely signed TTM requests for many years for Roy. I wrote him a few times and this type of signature is what I got back in addition to rubber stamp variety.

Not the best signature but authentic, obtained in person after a 1957 Spring training game. I'm not sure at this point being compared to a DeLorean or a time machine is a good thing.

I wonder how many other forum members actually went to a 1957 Spring Training game in person.

The other guy is Walt Alston.

God I could only wish that I could've attended games/spring training in the late 50's. I'm sure you have some great stories, both about the Sport and the Hobby!
