Default Delongs

We have been collecting PSA 8 Delongs for many years. Whilst several cards appear to be relatively easy to obtain, others border on the impossible. We have not seen a Stepehenson or a Cochrane in an 8 for many years.

What are your observations?

We are talking to someone about acquiring their Delong wrapper.
What is your guess on value?

Finally, has anyone ever seen the box that carried Delongs and/or any
advertising promoting the card set.

Best,

Aloha! I think all the Delongs are tough in very high grades. I have a nice set, but it is "raw". Ebay has a couple of nice looking Delong Cochranes in psa 7 for about 1K .
The wrapper would be about 3 to 4 bills in gd/vg maybe a grand in nice shape.

Frank Nagy had a Delong box......whereabouts unknown!

Also saw a pic of one in an old scd...I think it was about a find in Florida in the eighties. Aloha, Dave.

Default Delongs

My near set (no Gehrig yet) runs the gamut, unfortunately most gravitate toward the opposite end of the spectrum of this one.

Default Nice set

My father's set was actually put together by him primarily as a child. His collection survived the years and he was like a kid in a candy store when it was discovered in his mother's attic. Unfortunately, the cards are in off-condition but will never be upgraded as they were Dad's. Picked up the wrapper and it is very tough. Expect to pay a grand if in nice shape.
