Default 1974 Laughlin Old-Time Black Stars complete set

Really happy I pulled the trigger on this one. The 1974 Black Stars was a set I was thinking about collecting, but I couldn't resist grabbing the whole set at once!

Congrats! I love those cards. There not easy to find anymore esp complete. I picked up a Josh Gibson recently for my type set and am happy with it!

Congratulations! Of course I am partial to Laughlin sets, but I have always really liked this set in particular - when I got my first set of these in the 70s, I mailed a few of the cards out for autographs (Bell, Leonard, Johnson, and Paige, I think) - there were so few items of these great players readily available back then, other than maybe a HOF plaque.

The 1978 set is probably at least twice as tough to find (lower demand resulted in a much smaller print run) - certainly fewer big stars but another nice set with lots of players who never got their due.

Happy collecting!
