Default FS: BBM 1991 Japanese Baseball Lot

Lot of 29 different NM 1991 BBM (Baseball Magazine) Japanese baseball cards. Scan shows sample of cards front/backs. Card numbers are: 20, 51, 57, 77, 79, 91, 117, 121, 125, 129, 133, 157, 179, 185, 189, 193, 252, 254, 258, 264, 268, 274, 318, 322, 330, 370, 386, 390, 398, plus an overview card that lists the content breakdown of the BBM 1991 set, for a total of 30 cards.

This was the first year that BBM produced cards; BBM is the "Topps" of baseball cards in Japan. The cards are slightly smaller than the "typical" modern card size. According to Rob Fitts' website (Fitts is an authority on Japanese baseball cards): "BBM transformed the Japanese baseball card industry in 1991 with their first set of 399 cards. Modeled after modern American cards, the set included most of the active players as well as cards of league leaders and a special subset of all-time great players. Like American cards, BBM cards came in packs of ten and in factory sets."

$10 shipped for the lot. Paypal (F/F option) or money order. Please email or PM.
