Default Grandma left her a Ruth Buttercream that she bought at REAuctions last year!

Posted By: Sean

wow! What a great grandma! She buys this Ruth Buttercream for $111,000 last year and then leaves it to her grandchild without mentioning how much she paid. Grandma's got good taste but perhaps not all there?

So is the scan provided supposed to be just an example of the card? It doesn't say anything about it in the listing.

The seller lives in Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. If memory serves, that's just down the lane from Horsesh*t Hollow.

Darn it. The auction closed before I could bid.

I sent an email asking if the card shown in the scan was the card for sale and he responded "It was."

Sean --

If you look at the feedback, he's sold a treadmill. It was practically new and even told you how long you had been on it! With credentials like that, I find it tempting to make an offer on Grandma's card - think what other treasures might be in the shed in front of that treadmill in the picture...

Take Care,
Geno

Perhaps Grandma hid the Buttercream Ruth in the hole in the maroon Barcalounger he's also selling this week.

This is too fun...

I just noticed he is selling another treadmill, that looks oddly similar to the one he already sold. The sold one was around the house for months, but the current auction has it just coming out of the box! He must have missed that first one after selling it yesterday...

Cheers,
Geno

Sean --

I was outbid in the Memory Lane auction that would have given me a few dupes. The lot is now on Ebay for a $1K mark-up (see my post from a week ago or so), otherwise I would have had some trade ammo. Maybe REA or Heritage will be kinder to me...

Take Care,
Geno

Keep laughing about the auction -- Rob D bought it off ebay for 25K -- exactly what it was worth.

I exchanged emails with the seller and he assured me the card being offered was the PSA 4 scan shown and it was autographed as the description stated.

Ask him for a scan of the card next to today's newspaper...

BTW, just for fun I asked him about the treadmill - he said he has four of them, so maybe he'll throw one in for that kind of cash!

Take Care,
Geno
