Default Babe Ruth checks less desirable?

Just wondering what people's opinions are on Ruth signed checks. Do you think theyre less desirable since theyre signed G.H RUTH instead of BABE? I know theyre still valuable but wanted to know what people thought

I love my check, Mine is made out to "Claire Ruth" esitially giving me 2 Ruth signatures. The one thing I think people like about the checks is there unquestioned authenticity because its and actual check from Babe Ruths account not some cut that you cant ever be 100 percent sure of its origin. Being no expert in authenticating Ruth signatures it was just a better reasurance that i was buying a real Autograph. Just my 2 cents would like to hear other opinions as well.

If the authenticity is unquestioned--as it is--why did you have PSA authenticate it?

(Mine's made out to Claire, too.)

Your a funny guy David I bought it at an Auction and it came that way. I dont mind it being in a PSA holder as well its air/moisture proof and it keeps it somewhat protected when handled.

Yeah, I get all my checks encapsulated by PSA just because I really like the look. I wait until they have a $15 special to do it, as I'm really doing it to get them "framed" and not so much authenticated.

Default Cks

Everything stated below I agree with. When it is said and done, cks/letters/dicuments/gpc will be worth the most IMO. There is just too much crap out there that has been authenticated. Instead of spending 3-5 on a cut, save and buy one of the said medium above. If the lack of babe bothers you, save up more and buy a ck with it on there.
That, however, requires patience. They are out there but don't come up a lot. That's what I added to my collection. I think it has the best of every world.
I do like the gh Ruth cks too.
