This is a card that probably appears on ebay in varying grades about a hundred times a year. Why don't people show a little restraint and wait for one a little closer to real market value? It's this "gotta have it now" mentality which keeps a lot of us in business.

I looked at this bidding and noticed a card in the background, from this seller, that I don't see everyday. It is none other than a mis-labeled PSA card....It's an E122 and not an E121...I think I can use an upgrade in my collection...thanks a lot....the board helps again

I don't think the following is what happened, based on the buying habits of the winning bidder, but something to consider.........

without a back scan its impossible to know whether this was a Fact 42 back - if the high bidders had asked for backscans and found a 42 back, then that would certainly explain the higher price. In fact, if that is what happened, then they got a good buy.

I'm still trying to figure out what "Hawkeye" Leon saw and jumped all over. Was the E122 elsewhere on the Evers auction page as an advertisement? In a Sellers Other Items area?

Right. I saw that. I was trying to figure out how he saw it while looking at the Evers auction.

When I looked at the Evers T206 I saw the E122, being currently auctioned on ebay from this seller, it had a BIN .....not a huge deal but still an upgrade for me...

Thats the second E122 identified as an E121 by PSA Ive seen this week. To go with the 1926-29 Exhibit in a 1921 holder.

Ive only recalled seeing about 4-5 E122's and 2 were mislabled. PSA wake up! and actually read up on vintage sets, learn something. They arent that similar, you can tell the difference between E121 and E122 from 20 feet away.

This this buyer simply put a large max bid in and the rest simply pushed it up with their bids the day after the initial placed bid? Martin makes the best point on the back. I had esniped it for far less as I need this card in about this condition. Oh well. Chalk that up for another loss.
