Is the new Miss Dallas 2007. She won the title in the very first beauty contest she ever entered. I'm very proud of her. I don't have any contest pictures yet, but if you email me at RKlein@Beckett.com, I'll send some prom photos of her

My grandmother was May Queen of 1930-- which translates to that she was the best looking 17 year old in a small Michigan rural town. She was my favorite relative and treated all her grandchildren like gold, so the glory didn't go to her head. Though, even in her 80s, she would occasionally remind me she was May Queen of 1930.

The opposite end of the 'beauty' spectrum is a Cairn terror I owned (Toto of Wizard of Oz
was a cairn). As a puppy, it didn't look right for the breed.
I sent a photo to the Cairn society of England. The return letter said that my
dog appeared to be a Cairn but was a particularly poor example, and strongly recommended against
breeding it. In other words, my dog was too funny looking to be allowed to have kids.

Perhaps a commentary on beauty, I had two Cairns at the time and the other was a perfect
example of the breed and in fact looked exactly like Toto. While the funny looking
one had a fiendly, gregarious personality and everyone loved him, the 'beautiful' one
was aloof and problematic, and little kids weren't allowed near her. When she got old,
I would say she was still around "because Hell wouldn't taker her."
