Default Matt Chapman, Oakland A's

Just checking out the Cleveland Indian games the last couple days wanting to see Edwin Encarnacion again (miss him with the Jays, as do they!) and noticed this Matt Chapman kid.

I know zero about him, other than what I seen yesterday and today. If anyone's going to pick player they think is going to do great, I'd say this kid has what it takes!

Very impressive!

Great defender , plus power, and he had the highest rated arm in the minors. I picked up Agee of his autos a while back. I've been waiting to see him play.

I was impressed! I had never heard of him before but when I seen him hit 2 HR's off of Kluber yesterday (3 for 3 day and Kluber struck out 12!) then another one one off the 388 mark today (barely missed another HR) I had to look him up.

I decided to make an offer and picked up a signed Bowman card today myself.

I realized I never scanned this card back in 2017 so here it is.

As I was looking quickly on EBay, I noticed his sig on this card is unlike any others as it is quite large.
Is it a possibility this was signed at the park or a card show, and in anyone's opinion, do you think it is real?

I have no history, unfortunately, of purchasing this card and I don't even remember what I paid? ($20, maybe?)
(P.S. the sharpy is on the sleeve not the card)

That’s definitely not from a pack. They still have some similar on eBay.

Thanks Dustin.

I was unable to find any of the same size, but that is inconclusive, imo, so it's unlikely I will ever know, unless I send it in, if it's legit or not?

This one seems to have to same color sharpie but I assume most are this color or this is what is used most nowadays?

We love Chappie here in Oakland. He's both a throwback and a player for the modern era. Unfortunately with Trader Billy in charge of the A's we have to enjoy these guys while we can!
