Default The one?

Sitting at my local pub a few pints in and celebrating Canada's awesomeness @ the game of hockey and discussing my hobby.

A female in the group asked which card am I most smitten with? If you could own any card until your collecting time is up which would it be? Scans welcome.

Mine would be T206 Wagner proof strip. Proofs, uncut strip & Wagner

It's clear you're not a real collector Chris, there was a female in your group?

+1!!

It's funny you mention the T206 Wagner proof strip- about a week or so ago I was talking to another board member and this strip came up. I would take that strip over any other card-even a Wagner It is a Wagner!!

A VERY close second would be Leon's multi-everything scrap.

There are many other cards I'd love to own, but those are my #1 and #2.

Sincerely, Clayton

A few pints is all it takes for you to start bravely tossing out baseball card pick-up lines? Well-done.

Simple for me - just a plain ol' T206 Wagner.

Started to discuss the variety & uniqueness of errors, then tangented (is that a word) to scraps...bad move...lost all momentum. We are now talking about Matt Damon's new movie

Default Red Munson Old Mill Cabinet

Great catcher pose and a great set. Not much left for me to collect but I'd have to put that card near the top of my want list. I'd certainly pay well for this card!

Default Hey Chris--

--try "Come here often?" & "What's your sign?"

They worked for me back in the '60's!

(Personally, I want a real nice '52 Mick!)

Funny it seems like it wasn't long ago when that Wagner's trip was not terribly desirable... And sold for a somewhat reasonable amount.

I don't need something super rare. I'd be happy with this:

It doesn't get any better than this, in my opinion.

BTW Chris...I'm not sure that a "strip" of cards really counts as 1 card...kinda cheating I think!

Beat me to mentioning the Just So Cy Young. Since the first time I heard of that card, it has and always will be my answer to this question...

Coincidentally, before I'd heard of the Just So Young, my answer would've been the Wagner..

T206 Wagner, no doubt. If my numbers ever come up right in the Lotto that's the first thing I'll be picking up.
