Sadaharu Oh's rookie card (1959 Doyusha JCM 30b)!

Been wanting one of these for a while (he has a lot of rookie cards).

Did a little write up about it here: https://baseballcardsinjapan.blogspo...okie-card.html

I've always loved this Wilt The Stilt. Reminds me of my childhood days when the Knicks (whose entire starting lineup, mind you, became HOF'ers) would go to battle against the ridiculously talented Lakers and Celtics...

How much cash did it take to grab those very fine examples?

I think that whole haul was $100. I probably could do better with time and patience on eBay...but I do like to support my LCS.

It's real tough finding an Ozzie RC with that kind of decent centering. Well done.

Thanks. It’s got some print damage in places, but I took the centering over that.

I love the 59 Brooks Robinson, I think its much nicer than his 57 or 58.

I got this 1959 Minoru Murayama Menko which arrived in the mail the other day. I'm loving the colors.

Robert, remember I’m a Cubs fan. I don’t actively hate the Cardinals unless they are on a screen in front of me, but you don’t have to start with the reminders...;-)

Aside from centering, the corners and everything else are pretty nice, so I decided to take a gamble that the ST designation was nothing to worry about, and sure enough, it's just a phantom. You would never in a million years know anything was there, but if you stare at it in blinding sunlight under a magnifying glass with the card tilted, you can just barely make out some thin film where a piece of gum resided atop the Mick back in the summer of the Miracle Mets. A quick swipe with the pantyhose and this transparent residue 'stain' would be non-existent...

I’d crack it and shortly thereafter be asked by my wife what I needed pantyhose for...
