Default Official 2019 Dinger Whiff Derby Thread

I sincerely apologize for not posting earlier on this year's exciting Dinger Whiff Derby.

The stat was created to compare players with both extraordinary power and an extraordinary capacity to strike out as a result.

This year however the list is populated by a number of sluggers who will fall far short of the 200 whiff benchmark created by Judge (-29) and Stanton (-9).

Last year's surprise winner Jose Ramirez is inexplicably falling far short of last year's 39 dingers, with a Dinger Whiff Number of (-3).

The three dominant sluggers this year also dominate the current Dinger Whiff Derby, so with no further ado (or doo doo) here is the current list:

1. Bellinger +70
2. Trout +59
3. Yelich +55
4. Kepler +49
5. Bregman +44
6. Encarnacion +25
7. Renfroe +19
8. Alonso +17
9. Bell +14
10. Cruz +14

Note: Dinger Whiff Number = 4 times the number of Dingers (HRs) less the total number of whiffs (Ks)

MY BIG CONCERNS ABOUT AMERICA:

Internally- We spend too much time assuring our rights without learning the responsibilities that should accompany them.
Externally - No matter how much we claim to take the higher moral ground, we have neither respected nor attempted to understand other cultures.

You, Ray, are now a certified DWD analyst. Thanks for your input.
