I am looking for Old Judge poses that I don't have and Willie Keeler Colgan Chip or W600 cards. I can offer a wide variety of Old Judge in trade or can purchase outright. I am also putting together a high grade set of 48' Leaf Football (please don't ask why- I really don't know other than I like the way the cards look) and if anyone has these I would love to trade for or purchase them.

Thanks--Jay (curl777@aol.com)

Jay Miller and other OJ collectors, please take a moment to peruse my list. I still need a majority of the "0" numbered Detroit OJs (have 10 of 28). Details here: http://joeg.mi3si.org/Joe_G_N172_want_list.html

The web page includes my want list and a short list (unfortunately) of cards I'd consider trading if you prefer.

Hello to all,

Thanks to all of you who gathered for dinner in Atlantic City, particularly my compadre Tim Newcomb who invited me last Thursday evening. I'm working on T-3s and need the following in Vg+/EX or better:

Evers
Griffith
Joss
Lajoie
Matty McIntyre
Tinker
Speaker
Willis

I'm also looking for cards from the following sets:
M 101-2
M 101-3
T222
PC796
Dietsche Cubs.

Best wishes to all, and special thanks to Scott for making his table in AC a mecca for all of us to talk and rest.

Cheers, Mike Peich

JC--Did you receive my e-mail from last week?

A bit more unusual want list than what is normally posted here, I collect track & field/ Olympic cards. Need:
N43 cards: Myers, Albert.
N344 cards Thomas Hall Between the Acts, any, but upgrades for Rowell and Panchott.
N174 Old Judge
N332 S F Hess Cards
N184 Kimball Tobacco Cards: Walter George and O'Leary
(upgrade)
Any CDV/cabinet cards of pedesterians such as Rowell, Weston ect.

T227 Sheridian
T222:Have only the McGrath, looking for others that may exist.
T230: Kohlemenin, 2 other cards, Gissing for an upgrade.
Jim Thorpe: original 1912 items including 1912 Swdish postcard.

Exhibit cards in the 1920's

May be some other things I would be interested in that I don't know about relating to early Olympic (eg I obtained an 1896 Olympic Games T&F magic lantern glass slide), as long as it is a card type collectible with identifiable athlete(s).

Will be listing on eBay Sunday night two highly desirable and rare T217 MONO Cigarette cards:

Carl Mitze and Oscar Vitt

Bid early, often and high...I need to fund my e-card addiction!

These auctions will not be ending early for any reason so don't bother flooding me with e-mails. Not interested in trades just the cold...cold cash!

Thanks!

Variations and errors such as no name on front, severely miscut backs, missing colors, ghosts, proofs, blank backs, double strikes, etc. Looking for nice presentable cards...Thanks.

Just in case anybody forgot about me and wants some less than mint, inexpensive 19th century cards, check out my website:

http://www.angelfire.com/nb/jms/sale.html

Lots of old judges, a decent variety of other 19th century issues.

I now have an extra T205 Moran (Stray line) PSA 2. If anyone is seriously interested please contact me.

I also have these PSA graded T206 HOFers that I apparently thought were much nicer than PSA (especially the Cobb, of course).

PSA 3 Matty -- Dark Cap
PSA 3 Cobb -- Bat Off
PSA 5 Beckley
PSA 4 Joe Kelley
PSA 3 Speaker

also:
PSA 5 Eddie Collins 1926 Spalding Champions.
PSA 3 1934 Goudey Ki Ki Cuyler

Eventually these should all find there way onto Ebay unless someone here makes a nicer offer.

I will also be putting additional items on ebay tomorrow evening: high-grade Hassan/Mecca track and field cards, a few Callahans, a few Perez-Steele Great Moments of superstars only, various common issue 1910's cards of Nap Rucker and Ed Reulbach including a t204 Rucker, a few baseball publications including several paperback 1910's era biographies.

Will sell outright or trade for anything on my want list. 4.00 priority shipping, email me for scans and questions. SGC grade in ( ) followed by price.

1887 Allen & Ginter World Champions 1st series N28 Trickett (40) 40.

1888 Allen & Ginter World Champions 2nd series N29 Rowe (40) 45, Meyers (50) 50, Barry (70) 75, Ives (60) 65.

1888 Allen & Ginter World Champions 2nd series large N43 Queckberner (50) 100, Carter (70) 150, Albert (80) 200, Hill (50) 100, Wood (50) 100, Temple (50) 100, Paulsen (70) 150, O'Connor (70) 150.

1888 Kimball Champions of Games and Sports N184 Heins (30) 30, Beach (30) 30, Wood (50) 50.

Unused copyrighted 1910 baseball postcards by Colonial Arts Pub Co., Brklyn NY, Published by F C Henry and Co. Inc. NY - A Balk, Breaking Her Contract, A Chance Play, A High Ball, A Steal - 40 for all.

1911 Turkey Red Cabinet T9 Boxers - Harry Lewis EX+ or better and super clean. I've had this card for close to 2 years now and can't believe someone hasn't given me 125 for it. Would be a super nice card for a type collection. Johnny Coulon VG-EX with no tackholes or creases, really just slightly rounded corners 80.

1913 Tom Barker Game Runner Sliding (70) 25.

The following are SGC rejects for various reasons. They will be sold in their SGC reject holder and I will assign my grade discounting the SGC comment:

1888 N2 Allen & Ginter Indians - Lean Wolf (miscut) EX 20, Big Bear (too small to holder) EX 20.

1911 T205 Floyd Kroh (color added to top right and bottom right corner) looks NM, I bought this for my type collection 50.

1914 T222 Fatima Brown Phila (too narrow to holder) no creases just the slight cracking, looks nice 100.

Happy hunting, Keith

In addition to the various Reulbach/Rucker cards I am currently selling on ebay, I will be auctioning off most of my "pulp character" collection this Sunday night, although I have no actual pulps - I wanted the "Weird Tales" featuring Conan that sold on ebay Wednesday, but no luck (sad face). Item include over 50 paperbacks (mostly REH and Doc Savage), about 100 comic books and twenty magazines (mostly Conan, some Doc Savage), several hard-cover books (Skull-face omnibus, Burne Hogarth art book, two old Tarzan), two 10 x 13" comics (Conan,Tarzan), and three Frazetta painting books (Conan), all items related directly to the four characters in the title above. This is all from a collection I stopped working on 20 years ago, so everything's pre-1980. I honestly have almost no idea what the value of these items are, but if anyone has strong interest in any of it I will figure out prices in advance to avoid ebay. All items have been scanned individually, so just ask and I will provide.

Yes, and the Newsboy Ward is still available, now at the fire sale price of $1,350, which includes shipping and insurance.

Let's start a new B/S/T thread on Monday Sept. 1/03. As before, could the first poster include the disclaimer, and remember let everybody get a shot at being first out of the gate.

Tom, et. al,

If you are looking for N284's, keep an eye on my September, October, and November auctions @ baseballvintage.com. There are maybe 6 or 7 in all, SGC graded, that will be run over those 3 periods. Another solid graded bunch of T206s HOFers, and more N172s.

I would have offered them privately, had I not already committed to featuring them, prior to your post.

Regards,

James Verrill
