Default Goldin Results Last Night

That was a huge auction. Seemed like prices were pretty solid for most stuff, even as large as the auction was.

Was the decision to put so many pieces in one auction a good one or did it depress prices?

Can the boxing market handle this level of sale?

Some of the Jack Johnson photos and tickets on my Watch list went for very strong prices. Wish I was paying attention on some of the more obscure lots.

"Boxiana" and "Black Dynamite" book sets went for bargain basement prices.

Does someone have the link to the completed auction prices? I can't figure out how to see anything but the current items.

I've heard from a few collectors who said they couldn't afford to get in on enough lots to prevent some of them selling for bargain prices.

That’s the downfall of each item counting down individually, rather then the entire auction being extended until all the bids taper off.

Let’s you go to bed earlier, but suppresses late bidding from bidders who have gotten shut out of their first choices.

All in all I guess it all evens out for the consignor. That Johnson/Burns ticket went for far more then I’ve ever seen before.
