These look like they might be cards made from images that were in the Post-Intelligencer in 1969. The cards are about 5" by 2 1/2". Anyone familiar with this issue ?
Thanks, Rich

These are listed / explained in the 2007 Beckett Almanac, page 683. The 'originals' were printed in the newspaper, in 1969, on newspaper stock. These are actually nicer / more durable stock and are easier to handle

Thanks Mark. Does Beckett say how many in the set ? I had forgotten that they only lasted one year in Seattle before moving to Milwaukee who ironicly, was the only other city to have a team 1 year and have it move.

Wonder why SCD lists the reprints, but not the original '69 Pilot Profiles issue...

Were the originals cut from the newspaper and not considered cards ? Weren't these issued in 1969 ?

SCD says says the 1978 cards say on the back they are reprinted from the newspaper. It does say the cartoons originally ran in a larger size format ( the cards are 2 3/8 x 5) and " are themselves highly collectible" with values 2 to 3 X that of the reprints. The originals were 3 x 6 3/8. It lists the reprints at $ 100 ( they originally sold for $ 6) I could not find listing for originals
