Official Newbie Intro:
Hello all! My name is Raymond and I was invited to the site a few weeks ago. I have been impressed by the depth of both your knowledge and your pockets.
I recently lost my Mom and have been spending way too much of the Life Insurance money on my hobby, um, addiction. My initial avatar was the Denny Lyons Kalamazoo card, which I picked because one of the portions of my collections is local players (i.e. both players who were born here and those who played here. This is football country and we lost our last Minor League team several years ago. Denny Lyons briefly played for the first local team I am aware of....the 1885 Columbus Stars. My current avatar represents my nickname, 'Clydepepper' from David Clyde. I was a local lefty at the same time he was brought to the majors. As I said, I collect local players, but also most Hall-of-Famers, I try to collect all the players born on my birthday (1/6)- so I noticed when someone got a nice C-46 Purtell the other day- my copy is ungraded. - and a lot of ATL Braves. I have just sold my first card on this site, T205 Home Run Baker - gave a good price and I hope the buyer enjoys it. I had to take the remaining four cards down to move them to Ebay....as, I guess I was impatient and did not see enough interest. Anyway....enough about me, what do you think about me? LOL Maybe I should change my moniker to Gabby.

Welcome aboard, Raymond. I am a Clyde fan. I have always enjoyed learning about the "can't miss" prospects that miss.
