One of my favorite teams was the 1977 Yankees. I have always wondered if it is true that Steinbrenner had the Lou Piniella card added to the Burger King Set because he was his favorite player on that team. Also if anyone knows how late in the print run did they add the Piniella. Thanks CN

The story I always heard was that Sweet Lou was
added to the set since Steinbrenners kid (Hal)
wanted it included as it was his favorite player.

That was the story in the Mastro write up a few years ago when they were offering a large stash of Pinella cards.
Is it the same son that bids on ebay all the time now?
