I hadn't heard the term "shoebox" in reference to these before. I'll assume it's because of the larger size --especially width -- like the Topps 52s and 54s. Anyway, I have several dozen in varying degrees of condition. Here's one of the cleaner ones.

One of my favorite Topps sets aside from the '52s. Have the set and working on the black/white back variations....whew.....what am I getting myself into. Don't have any scanned right now but will soon. When I get my Gilliam card back from PSA I'll post it. Took it to National and left it with them. Compared it to a few graded 6s and 7s at the show and the dealers that owned those said that mine was better.......lets hopw PSA thinks so since I'm not a "BIG" player if you know what I mean....
