Default m101-5 uncatalogued back- Mr. Lemke

Posted By: leon

Hey Folks,
Still can't send a jpeg via email so figured I could borrow this space for a day or two. (BTW I like to drink Jack Daniels but then I get into fights. I don't drink Jack Daniels ) Here is the back of the card with the Holmes-to-Homes milk made bread card I have. It is not in the 2002 SCD but I believe it is being worked on. The front of the card is "Geo. Pierce, P.-Chicago Cubs 138"...therefore making it one of the lesser found 1915's.....for reference I will list the backs that are known today...if anyone knows of another one let me/us know.....1915 backs- blank, Gimbels, Indianapolis Brewing, Standard Biscuit, The Sporting News and now Holmes-to-Homes,.........1916 backs are: Altoona Tribune, Block & Kuhl, Baycrus Brewing, Burgess Nash, Everybody's, Famous and Bar,3- Gimbels (3 types of print), Globe Clothing Store, Green Joyce, Herpolsheimer, Morehouse Baking, Successful Farming, The Sporting News, Ware's, Weil Baking Co., Mall Theater,.........best regardshttp://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1012182072.JPG

Leon,

Famous & Barr was produced in both 1915 and 1916. I own a Famous & Barr #57 Hap Felsch (1915), and I have seen a Famous & Barr #10 Dave Bancroft (1916). I have already contacted Bob Lemke regarding this back.

Also, Indianapolis Brewing is a 1916 issue, not a 1915 issue.

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the clarification. I know we have been over this before. Mr.Lemke said that if I posted the image he could use it. So that is what I did. We spoke about this several months ago when I bought the lot from Jay. Obviously, there are blank backed m101-4's that I did not mention too.....best regards..

Thanks for the scan of the Holmes to Homes. It should find its way into the 2003 Standard Catalog. If any of the others who read these boards have cards which are not illustrated, or are poorly illustrated in the SCBC, I'd welcome your sending a scan.
