Default 1984 topps mystery

Ive been sitting on these for a few years after purchasing a large 80's collection. I cant find these anywhere, I went down the 84 proof road, but these aren't blank. Have about 50 of these, mostly commons..the front looks the same, but all of the backs are obviously different from the standard set.

Any insights would be appreciated, perhaps its obvious.

Looks like they simply missed the red ink color pass during the printing process.

I have a similar 1971 Rollie fingers with no black ink on reverse. Fun, but not worth a ton.
