Whilst the Tuxedo Tobacco Company did not issue baseball cards
they did issue a marvelous set of beautiful baseball lithographs.

These are among the most elaborate and finest early 20th century
baseball advertising pieces extant. We are proud to have an outstanding
example of the McGraw piece in our collection.

In 2005, the hobby's most important distinguished auctioneers,
Robert Edward Auctions, sold a complete set (3).

Enjoy the description of the item which can be found at

Eliminate that trailing ">" character from your link so we can view the scan.

Recall this thread from back in 2006. Someone had cut out the pictures shown by Ted above and pasted them to cardboard and sizing to appear as "cards" and was selling them as Tuxedo Tocacco cards.

There are fakes that look old but nothing like the originals Bruce linked you to. The fakes are in all green if I remember correctly. I have a picture but nop ftp here at work to show you. If someone can email me and put it in the tiny url thingy, I will send it to them. thanks.

That original Johnson is an awesome piece! I would have loved to have bought that!

This is how I envisioned Tuxedo baseball cards would have looked.

Heine Zimmerman led the NL in 1912, batting .372

Good enough to include him with all those stars.

. . . that with the volume of baseball related advertising that Tuxedo did in the T-card era they never issued insert cards.

Leon, I also created Walter Johnson and J.J. McGraw Tuxedo fantasies, I printed a few of each in T-card size.
