Default T206 Red HINDU cards....survey revisited

The Red HINDU brand of cigarettes were out of Factory #649 (Rochester, NY), circa 1911.

This rare back can be found with T206's from the 350/460 series and the 460-only series.
There are a possible total of 103 Subjects; however, to date there are only 41 confirmed

remaining 61 Subjects are "No-Prints".

Default T206 Red HINDU cards....survey revisited

A net54 reader just emailed me with a new Red HINDU input....Doolan (bat)
from the 350/460 series.

This brings the tally up to 43 confirmed cards with Red HINDU backs.

Check-out your T206 collections and let's have some more new inputs.

Thanks,

TED Z

Default Re: T206 Red HINDU cards....survey revisited

Hello Ted,
I can add one card to the confirmed T206 Hindu red checklist:
Harry Davis (Davis on front), Phila. Amer.

I will email you a scan of this card and maybe you can post the image on this thread.

Here are a couple of notes on the T206 confirmed Hindu red cards:

The recent REA auction had a T206 Cobb, red portrait with Hindu red back. My records show this is the only example confirmed.

I can confirm all of the cards you listed except:
Chance, yellow portrait (never have seen this one)
Cobb, bat off (never have seen this one either)

Regards,
Art M.

Default T206 Red HINDU cards....Survey revisited

A question has been raised regarding the Chance (portrait-yellow) with a Red HINDU back.
I listed this card as it is noted on the Super Set.

Can any Net54er confirm that this Chance card can be found with the Red HINDU back ?

Thanks,

TED Z

Having not heard from any of you regarding the Yellow portrait Chance,
I just may have to scratch it from the confirmed list.

Furthermore, in the recent REA auction, a Red Cobb was touted as the
only known example with a Red HINDU back. Can anyone on this Forum
vouch for the existence of a 2nd Red Cobb with a Red HINDU back ?

I really appreciate your responses,

T-Rex TED
